Carion Fenn is the President of the Carion Fenn Foundation and Host of Health 180 with Carion Fenn on Rogers TV Durham, an Award-Winning inclusiveness and accessibility patient advocate. Carion is a Member of Lakeridge Health Board of Trustees, Board Quality Committee & Co-Chair Ajax Pickering Hospital Community Panel. She is an Accessibility Advisor to Town of Ajax Council on the Accessibility Advisory Committee. Carion is a member of the Jamaican Canadian Association and honoured to be selected for 100 Accomplished Black Canadian Women 2018.
Carion has received several recognitions for her community service, including the Ontario Volunteer Service Award (10 YRS) from the Ontario Provincial Government, Adult Ajax Civic Award (Town’s Highest Honour), Education and Accessibility Community Award from the Town of Ajax, Spinal Cord Injury Ontario and University Health Network Patti Dawson Award, and Advocacy Award from Abilities Awards.
She is a former volunteer for Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Canada and a graduate of George Brown College.
Carion has earned considerable recognition as a designer with media appearances on CITY TV, CHTV, TV ONE, ROGERS 10, CFRB1010, and Flow 93.5 FM. She was the Home Show Coordinator for the Walls Windows Furnishing Association, Program Director and Show Committee Chair for "The Canadian Decorators Association", Designer for feature spaces in major home shows, and Feature Designer for 'Divine Restoration', as seen on Sun TV Vision TV.
With her founding of the Carion Fenn Foundation and the Carion Fenn Network, she has helped to bridge the gap for those affected by Syringomyelia, Chiari Malformation, Rare Diseases, Rare Disorders and Chronic Diseases. She helps newly diagnosed patients, their families and friends, to understand the life of those that are suffering, engaging communities and helping build an inclusive community for all because Together We Are Stronger®.
